Almost home owners again!

We finally heard back from the bank, after 4 long months. They accepted our offer on the house. The reason it took so long is because it was in short sale, so the bank had to acceot the offer, not the current home owners. I will fill you in on the details as soon as we hear more.

We are filling out the papers tonight and hopefully will be able to close on the first weekend in December. YEAH!!! We will be in our "home" for Christmas! It has been different moving 10 hours away from the home we use to own and moving into an apartment while we looked for a new home, but it was worth the wait! God is good!

Orlando Magic

Last night we went to our first Orlando Magic basketball game. The kids had so much fun and asked so many questions. My daughter asked "Why is that guy in the yellow shirt carrying around a big trash can?" I had to explain to her that he was walking around with food for people to buy. HAHA

Skyler loved all the music and just had to dance. They also caught a souvenir that was being thrown into the crowd...that was fun! We did leave at halftime because they were getting tired and Jada had school today, but we still had a great time for our first Orlando Magic experience!
The game is not complete without a big bucket of popcorn!

Prematurity Awareness!

November is the prematurity awareness month. This hits home for me in so many ways. Some of you readers know that my oldest, Jada, was born at 31 week and weighed 2lbs 13 oz. She had gastroschesis, this is when you are born with your intestines on the outside. She was in the hospital for 7 weeks and it was a long and tough road. To read more of her story go HERE!

"Prematurity is the leading killer of America's newborns. Those who survive often have lifelong health problems, including cerebral palsy, mental retardation, chronic lung disease, blindness and hearing loss. Prematurity has been escalating steadily and alarmingly over the past two decades. In 2005, more than 525,000 infants were born prematurely, the highest number ever reported for the U.S. In 2005, the United States as a society paid at least $26.2 billion in economic costs associated with preterm birth (medical and educational expenses, loss in productivity). Preterm delivery can happen to any pregnant woman. In about four out of every 10 cases, the causes are unknown."
The March of Dimes has taken on this devastating problem—to find out what causes it and how it can be stopped. For more information and ways you can help go to March of Dimes Website.

Church Harvest Festival!

We had a great time on Saturday at the Harvest Festival. We got to church around 11:00 to start setting up for the event. The event was from 3 to 6. The kids had so much fun!

We had hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, drinks, and a chili cook off! This was the area where all the food was!

This area was for ages 2-5. We had moon jumps and several games for the preschoolers. We also had an area that was a bike path. It was so very cute...the children loved it. We had a green path for them to ride on with road signs.

We had several other moon jumps on the other side for the older kids. This is a picture of Jada and her friend racing down the slide!

Live music!

Jada and her friends slow down long enough for us to take a quick picture!

Skyler and his friends on the hay ride!

Jada and Avery at the preschool duck table. They wanted to be in charge of this game, but when the festival started they didn't stay their very long because they wanted to play! They did set up the game for us though!!!
