Back to School

Today was Jada's first day back to school. She woke right up and was ready to go. I thought, "wow this is great!" I walked her in to school and that is when it really started to hit her. She did good about finding her teachers name and sitting in the right spot. When it was time for me to leave, her face broke my heart. I gave her a HUGE hug and told her it was going to be okay and I would be praying for her ALL day! Her eyes began to fill with tears as her class walked into school. I had to turn around and walk towards the car, because I didn't want her to see my eyes filling with tears.

She had so many people praying for her and anxious to see how her day went. I picked her up and she had the biggest smile. She had a great time! She said her day was an EIGHT (from 1-10) What an answer to prayer. She even made a few friends today! But, the most precious thing was what happened at lunch. She told me that she prayed silently in her head before she ate her lunch. I AM ONE PROUD MOMMY!

Tomorrow her school has been canceled because of hurricane Fay. Skyler is disappointed too, because his first day of preschool was tomorrow. This hurricane thing is all new to me. We are prepared though, with our water, batteries, and flashlights! I am just thankful that for today, Jada had a wonderful day first day!

Jada was so excited about her daily planner. She is responsible for writing down her homework assignments each day!

glad to hear things went well... just know that Wed will be like the first day all over again (if they go on Wed.)

enjoy your day inside today... oh and this storm is nothing major to worry about, but it will get worse before it gets better!

cute pics!! The first day is hard for some...it was for me growing up. I remember all the hurricane preparations when we lived in Alabama for 3 yrs. Nothing ever got bad where we were but it's good to be ready. Now we live in tornado alley so it's scary here too and not a lot of warning. Hope you all are okay ;)

I am so glad she enjoyed her first day! Your description of dropping her off made me want to cry. I am not looking forward to that day. Bailey's such a mama's girl that I think it will be pretty hard. Hope everything is going ok storm wise.

Glad the first day went well. Ashton and Landon started Monday too. I was so bummed yesterday though b/c it was my first day at work and I didn't get to go drop them off...Landon's first day of kindergarten!! That wasn't easy, but I did get ONE picture before I went to work. Shawn took the camera to the school, but they told him they didn't want any pictures taken of themselves, so that's that. It's all going well though. When will Sky get to try it out?

I'm so glad to hear Jada did so well her first day at the new school! I know Ava's day is coming (if I don't home-school), and I can imagine how much I'd cry too. I hope Skyler does as well, when he gets to go. I'll be praying for you all through that TS too!
Oh, I got my gift card today (actually I guess that would now be yesterday)! Thanks again!
