Surprise Surprise Surprise

Saturday night we drove back to the 'boro for a friends surprise birthday party. I had shopped all day long to find him the perfect gift. After going to 5 antique shops, I finally found "IT." I bought him an antique checkerboard! He loves checkers (right Jill?) I was very excited to give him his present!

His wife, Jill, called right before we got to the party to see where we were and she told me she was about to go and pick him up for the big surprise. We arrived at the party and knocked on the front door and was told to go around to the backyard. As soon as we came around the corner I looked up and everyone was standing there and yelled...SURPRISE...at me and Jeremy and the kids. I just stood there for a few seconds trying to figure out what was going on. I saw Jill and her husband who the party was suppose to be for...so I thought!! Well, I finally realized what was going on. Our small group at church and Sunday School class was throwing us a surprise party since we are moving. I just started crying...the first out of 5 times that night.

I have to say my friends Jill and Julie (who I talked to alot that week) really had me going. I had no idea at all! We were just so blown away. It was such a special night. At one point during the night all our friends gathered around us, layed hands on us, and prayed for us. God has brought each and every one of them into my life and they are all so special to me. I know they are life long friends!! It is really going to be hard to move away from them. I will miss them SO SO SO much!

Jill gave Jada and Skyler a really special present. She had a girl and boy doll made for them. On the dolls she had their name on it and the scripture that I claim for them. When I saw the doll and read the scripture that was the second time I cried that night. My children LOVE them. Jada would not let go of the doll all night and Skyler put a foot stool by his bed so his doll could sleep right next to him! Okay so I am crying writing this...I am just so thankful for all these wonderful friends that I love dearly and will miss them tremendously!!!

What an awesome day that must have been. You are so blessed to have such great, loving, thoughtful friends. Okay, the dolls...what a great idea. That is so special! CAn't wait to see you in a few days. The boys are asking if you all are coming Saturday to meet us. We should celebrate Father's day all together before we part ways. Ashton and Landon won't be with Shawn on Father's Day :(
