My daughter has started two new projects this week. She is very smart and adventurous. Skyler, of course, is joining along as well in Jada's new adventures.
We went to the library yesterday and Jada and Skyler signed up for the space reading program. Every ten books they read or listen to they get to put a rocket ship , with their name, on the board. They also receive a prize for every ten books. At the end of the month they put all the rockets in a box and draw a winner! Jada is very excited about the big prizes...one is a bike. She read two books last night. I am so happy she loves to read!
Her second project is a rock collection. While we were at the library she checked out a book on how to identify rocks. She is very excited about this. She has already learned so much and keeps telling me things about rocks that I don't even know. This morning she woke up and went straight to her rock book and found the page with the list of things you need to go on a rock hunt. She gathered all the things she needed in her backpack...Skyler gathered his things too...He loves to do everything his big sissy does! We were off to the river for the big rock hunt.
We found a lot of rocks and waded in the water and tried to catch minnows. It was a beautiful morning with a great breeze! It was so much fun. When we got home Jada went straight to her book and started to identify the rocks she found. She has them all in different bags and has written all the information about the rocks on note cards. This project will keep her very busy!

I have also started my own project. I am making a new recipe book. So, if you have any great recipe for me please e-mail them to me at tiffanyjohnson0@gmail.com!!!!

How fun! I need to check into our library and see if they have any programs for kids...Jada looks so cute with her book!! And that's awesome that she loves to read!
i have no idea what that girl will be when she grows up...there's no telling. and as far as good recepies, mine all came from your mom, so your at the storehouse of good recepies. happy hunting to you both :)
i told the boys that jada was rock hunting and they have been collecting rocks from our neighborhood to bring to show her. (hopefully they're not taking them out of the neighbors yards) they can't get to winchester fast enough.
